It was April 1921(Taishō 10) when a public girls’ higher school was established in Anjo Town. This caused a drop in the number of new students from Anjo joining our school. However, since at the same time, the number of new students from other towns increased, we were unaffected by the establishment of the supplementary girls’ school as we had been in the past. Pleased with this, I next applied for approval from the Minister of Education to accredit Anjo Girls’ Vocational School Incorporated Foundation, as well as for the establishment of a one year higher normal course with a girls’ higher school diploma as a prerequisite. It was February 1924(Taishō 13) when our school received the license, and my husband, Sanzō Terabe, was inaugurated as Chief Director.
