While I was thinking of establishing the women’s technical college in Toyohashi and managing to proceed briskly toward a 20,000 tsubo(66,115.70m²) land purchase, the Chief Director, Mr. Terabe, was persuaded by the members of Anjo town assembly to move the school to Kozutsumi, where we could rent 3,000 tsubo(9,917.36m²) with a land tax project cost of five sacks of rice. They tried to convince us to take action. I pushed hard for the Toyohashi relocation, but with the difficulty of having to fund it, plus its distant location, it would never come to pass.

Finally, we accepted the invitation of the town assembly and moved to 41, Kozutsumi, Anjo Town, leasing the 3,000 tsubo(9,917.36m²).

At that time, it was decided that we would also establish a boys’ high school, targeting Yahagi-cho in Okazaki as a site in order to meet popular demand of the local citizenry. With big aspirations, we diligently appointed management to proceed methodically toward meeting this goal.

But I didn’t give up on my wish to move to Toyohashi, dreaming about it for over thirty years. If we had had suitable ground, we would have liked to contribute to the national culture by establishing a women’s integrated college, centered on both a university and a college with various faculties. This is still my dream today.
