It was October 1, 1925(Taishō 14) when we had our groundbreaking ceremony on the fertile rice fields. Attending the solemn ceremony were the mayor of Anjo Town, members of the town assembly, the school staff, and student representatives.
In those days, our outstanding view of the farmland, as far as the eye could see, was broken only by the Hachiman-jinja Shrine and Jutō-in Temple. At night, we were reluctant to venture out, feeling helpless and afraid of the dark countryside.

In January of 1930(Shōwa 5), we dismantled and rebuilt the main school and converted it to a dressmaking classroom. Around this same time, we bought a dormitory in Asahi-machi from Mr. Terawaki, dismantled it and rebuilt it as the second dormitory.
Next, we relocated the three old school buildings, one next to the main gate (which was to be known henceforth as the west gate), and reconstructed them into one two-storey school building. A room downstairs became the school office, and a room upstairs was the specimen room for science and sewing samples. The other two school buildings were built as general classrooms near the corner of the campus.
Next, we relocated the classrooms on the second floor on an 84 tsubo(277.69m2) piece of land in Asahi-machi to replace a lecture hall that had been destroyed by a typhoon while under construction. Due to the damage we were forced to make it into a one-storey building. That is the current music room, filled with old memories.
